My Favorite Part of Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is coming. I am so excited. My favorite part of Thanksgiving is that we all go to Marblehead. That is where my Dad grew up. My grandmother does the cooking. We sit down to a table of delicious food. I love the smells as the food is cooking!

After dinner the best part is dessert. We have three kinds of pie: pumpkin, apple and pudding, with icecream. Then the day is done and everyone goes home, except Nora and me. We get to stay and have an extra day with Grammy.

Now you see why I am so excited.

About buell

I teach world history to 9th graders at Weymouth High School in Massachusetts. I love my job because I love to tell stories---stories about history and stories about my life as a child of the 80s, stories from my wanna-be journalist days in Washington, DC and stories about my 4 children: Patrick, Veronica, Nora and Agnes. I also tell lots of "what not to do" stories about my dear husband, Jeff.
